    “A lovely well maintained property in a stunning riverside location.”

    Perfectly positioned for easily visiting all the town's, villages and attractions you would want in the North Yorshire area. If you like to walk out in the evening to eat or drink this may not be the place for you if your not fit and used to walking up hills, the climb from the cottage to the main road is severe and then it's another hilly walk of 30 mins into whitby. Taxis seem to be easy to book and relatively cheap so ideal for nights out if you want to try one of the many bars and ...

The property

An attractive, mid-mews cottage within a small complex of similar properties, White Goose Cottage is set on the banks of the River Esk just one mile from the centre of the popular fishing town of Whitby.

Enjoying a bright and airy interior, White Goose Cottage is well-furnished and presents a group of four with excellent accommodation for exploring North Yorkshire.

Discover an open-plan living space hosting a well-equipped kitchen, including an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher among the appliances.

Gather at the dining table, with framed art decorating the walls, you can enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal or an indulgent takeaway here with your loved ones.

Over in the sitting area, relax on the plush red sofas and wind down with some Sky TV, with patio doors leading from this room out to the shared lawns and patio area.

Upstairs you can find two bedrooms; a master double bedroom with connecting doors to a sprung sofa bed leading to the lovely balcony with seating, perfect for sitting and admiring the river.

The second bedroom has a single bed along with a pull-out trundle bed beneath, with both bedrooms enjoying pretty decor and plenty of storage for guests’ belongings, and both served by the excellent family bathroom.

The communal lawned gardens run down to the river where seals, swans, and ducks are regular visitors, and you can make use of the boat ramp if you want to bring your boat with you for some wonderful trips along the river.

Explore the cobbled streets of Whitby and find a host of attractions here from the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, The Endeavour Experience, the RNLI Whitby Museum and the Whitby Museum.

Be enthralled by the history of the town on a Whitby Storyteller Guided Walk Tour, and head up the 199 Steps to the famous and eerie Whitby Abbey, thought to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Take a tourist photo in the Whalebone Arch and stroll along Whitby Beach enjoying some sunbathing or paddling in the sea on a warm day, before heading into the centre again to sample some delicious food at one of the many restaurants and eateries.

Take a Whitby Coastal Cruise along the stunning Yorkshire coastline and watch out for the seabirds and wildlife, or if staying from July to November head out on a Whitby Whale Watching boat trip and hopefully catch sight of whales and dolphins!
