“Very disappointed with our stay in this cottage.”

The space has a lot of potential but it seems like the owners just can't be bothered, perhaps because the property is for sale. When we arrived the heating was on full blast and turned up to 27 upstairs so it was like a sauna. Even with the windows open to try to cool the place down - in November! - it was still so sweltering we all struggled to get to sleep. It took us three days to find where the information book had been hidden in an obscure draw so we weren't able to find the wifi password ...

When we arrived the heating was on full blast and turned up to 27 upstairs so it was like a sauna. Even with the windows open to try to cool the place down - in November! - it was still so sweltering we all struggled to get to sleep. It took us three days to find where the information book had been hidden in an obscure draw so we weren't able to find the wifi password. The takeaway menus available were all out of date, half of the restaurants had since shut down! There was a hole in one of the bedsheets. Throughout the house were cobwebs and a huge number of spiders. I understand that spiders do make their way into the house but it was clear no proper cleaning had been done as there were webs everywhere. We didn't find the oven gloves until our last day so had to resort to using the single tea towel that was provided. Only two toilet rolls were provided and there was no kitchen roll.
