“Loved Prestella.”

“We had a fantastic holiday at Prestella.”

The house was perfect. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden was lovely in the afternoons, after days out exploring the coast. It had parking next to the garden, which was brilliant, as this is not always the case with many holiday lets. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to come back again in the future.

“Lovely clean accommodation in Filey.”

The house had all the amenities which you will require on holiday. On arrival we found milk, scones and eggs for the humans and treats for doggy. Also dog bowls and towels provided for them along with the outside dog shower. Prestella in an excellent position for going to the dog beach and wondering into Filey. Also other dog walks near by. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

“Beautiful holiday home - spotlessly clean and very well maintained.”

Parking a bonus (we parked at the front in lay-by, as we were unsure how to access the back of the property- we eventually sussed it when we went inside). 10 minute walk from town, on bus route for Scarborough and Bridlington. I would definitely stay here again.

“Lovely property, excellent value for money.”

Ideally located to access Filey on foot- about a 15 min walk- so no worry finding and paying car parking! Very warm and cozy. Pretty much provides everything you need, plus plenty of extras. All items and fittings to a high quality. Lovely welcoming gifts. Would definitely use again and recommend.

“A lovely home from home.”

It has everything you could want. Very high standard of facilities. Clean and tidy. The welcome pack was a nice surprise. We had a lovely week, we were very comfortable. We had a small problem with the garden gate which was sorted by the owner within a couple of hours of reporting it to Sykes.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, although we encountered some initial challenges upon arrival, likely due to the weather.”

The internet wasn't functioning, and we suspected a power outage as the microwave wasn't working either. We had difficulty locating the main switches and found no manuals for the appliances. Additionally, the lack of phone signal due to a downed phone mast in town made it impossible to contact anyone for assistance. Despite these hiccups, the Prestella was wonderful with new appliances and very clean. The following day, I managed to resolve the WiFi issue to the girls' delight, and from then on, everything was perfect. The thoughtful welcome gift hamper and flowers were a lovely touch. Thank you for a delightful experience; I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your beautiful home to others.

The fact we could take our two small dogs was a blessing the dog friendly Back garden was perfect. Everything you needed to compliment your holiday all I can say is we will be back in the new year for another holiday. Loved it.

A lovely clean and well equipped property and a great walk into Filey too the only fault we found was the property was on a main road and as we live in a quite col-d-sac so it was extremely noisy with traffic for us but other wise we enjoyed our stay thank you

There is also an outdoor dog shower to keep pets clean after a day of exploring the coast. Once you're ready to explore, head for the town centre where you'll find a plethora of shops and eateries to visit, including The Boat Shed, Filey Bistro & Coffee Bar, and San Marco Restaurant; whilst in the area, be sure to visit the Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, practise your swing at Filey Golf Club, or hike across Filey Brigg Country Park, ahead of reaching the breath-taking landscape of Filey beach.

Follow the coastline to reach Scarborough and its shorefront of attractions, where you can tour the remains of Scarborough Castle, take in the beauty of Peasholm Park, or follow the walking trail of Cleveland Way up to the North York Moors National Park.

Reroute south to enjoy the delights of Bridlington, with the RSPB Bempton Cliffs offering the ideal landscape for bird watching, Bridlington Sea Front for a day at the beach, and Sewerby Hall & Gardens nearby, offering in-house events and pretty gardens to explore, before returning home in time for sundowners.

FILEY

Scarborough 7.7 miles; Bridlington 10.5 miles.

Set in the magnificent Filey Bay, Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday, making it an ideal place to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers at any time of the year. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and provides good bird watching and seawatching opportunities all year round. The 400 ft high Bempton Cliffs (RSPB Reserve) to the south of Filey Bay are home to over 250,000 seabirds in the summer. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels and there is a slipway where local fishermen keep their boats, plus delightful beach chalets that can be hired through the summer months. The bay is edged with two promenades and there are various gardens, where brass bands play on a Sunday afternoon. This small town is family orientated and there are loads of family activities such as Alpamare UK waterpark, Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park and the Filey Dams Nature Reserve, a wetland reserve where all kinds of common and rare birdlife can be seen. A short drive brings you to the busier town of Scarborough where you will find great beaches, a castle, the Rotunda Museum and the acclaimed Sea Life Centre. Other towns worth visiting close to Filey include Bridlington, Whitby, Hornsea and Saltburn, which all demonstrate the vibrancy of this picturesque North Yorkshire region.
