“A nice property although lights needed to be on at all times as it's so dark.”

Broken toilet seat which was offered to be repaired on day 2, we declined. Shower lukewarm, again offered repair but we declined as it was our holiday and these should have been checked prior. One toilet roll, no bin bag in kitchen bin. A stained rug in hallway, we rolled it up for the duration of our stay. Light fitting in lounge hanging off, Kitchen well equipped and clean, bed comfy. Towels provided felt damp. Great location, dog friendly. BBQ not really accessible as described, back not ...

“Great location close to shops and beach.”

Flat clean and tidy and well equipped. Tastefully decorated. Welcome box was a nice touch. However we found a lot of black mould behind bed - previous guest had reported mould on several walls in visitors book - and cleaned walls themselves but couldnt reach mould behind bed. However when we arrived this mould had not been dealt with and small amount of mould remained in second bedroom as well. - No instruction booklets for cooker radiators or microwave. We worked out how to operate the radiators but all radiators were off when we arrived and it took several hours to warm the flat up. Managed to turn radiators down when we left (as requested by owners).

“When we arrived the property hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests, but this was quickly fixed.”

The bed is really hard, which suits some people, but I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and have had a hip replacement. I tried sleeping in the bunk beds, but due to the size of the bump and the narrow gap, this made it very difficult. This resulted in us leaving after the first night (which is a shame as we had driven 3 hours to get there). The property has damp issues, which affected my partners asthma. There was a human treat and dog treat boxes which is a lovely touch, and the location of the property is amazing. The beach is lovely, but dogs are only allowed on a certain part of it. Overall it is a nice property, just the mattress didn’t suit me, and the damp needs fixing.

Thankyou for your feedback, we are aware of the damp and this is due to be rectified, we alway do this towards the end of the season and a full re decoration and damp treatment is booked in. Property Owner

“We felt that although very clean and tidy the flat smelt of damp and you can see areas of the property where damp is affecting the walls.”

The shower also needs to be resealed. The bed is very uncomfortable and I actually resorted to sleeping on the couch for two of three nights. Obviously nobody can help the seagulls but they are extremely annoying and lids throughout the day and night also affecting our sleep. Overall the location is great close to all amenities however the above really meant I didn’t have a very restful holiday and I personally won’t be returning.

It was close to everything and the only downside was that you couldn't get a signal on for your mobile other than that superb.will be booking there again when going to Filey

“Lovely little apartment, great location close to all the local amenities.”

Walking distance to the beach. Very clean and equipped with all you needs for a break away. Thank you for the box of goodies, really handy with tabs for the dishwasher, washing up liquid, tea bags, coffee, biscuits and sweets and not forgetting the doggie treats. We will definitely visit again!

Set in the magnificent Filey Bay, Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday, making it an ideal place to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers at any time of the year. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and provides good bird watching and seawatching opportunities all year round. The 400 ft high Bempton Cliffs (RSPB Reserve) to the south of Filey Bay are home to over 250,000 seabirds in the summer. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels and there is a slipway where local fishermen keep their boats, plus delightful beach chalets that can be hired through the summer months.
