    “A lovely cottage, in the most idyllic setting.”

    Everything supplied for your holiday needs, I was surprised how well the internet worked, as you are on the edge of the Yorkshire Mores. And if you have a dog, the garden is safe and dog friendly. I highly recommend this cottage.

This collection is centrally located in the North York Moors National Park with excellent facilities, bike storage, and five-acres of shared, landscaped gardens with furniture and a barbecue, making a lovely base for families and couples looking for pet-friendly accommodation. The surroundings enjoy beautiful countryside with plenty of walking and cycling routes through the moors and coast, with something for all abilities, as well as historic sites, waterfalls, and traditional villages to explore. Glaisdale village is nearby with Arncliffe Arms pub, a village shop/Post Office, a butcher's serving excellent pies, and the fascinating attraction of the Museum of Victorian Science. Further afield, the seaside town of Whitby is home to the stunning Whitby Abbey, the family-friendly Whitby Beach, and Whitby Golf Club. The picture-postcard fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay is also nearby, or perhaps make your way to Pickering to explore the ruins of the 13th-century Castle and Beck Isle Museum. A peaceful village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, Glaisdale is set amongst beautiful countryside in the heart of the Esk Valley. The village itself has a post office in the general store, an excellent butcher (famed for his pork pies) and one hotel/pub, with restaurant. Further afield, Whitby and the coast are just 9 miles away whilst the quaint moorland villages of Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham and Thornton Dale and the market town of Pickering are all within easy touring distance. For something a little quieter, why not take a trip to the less-discover gem of Saltburn by the Sea, a charming, Victorian seaside resort. The terminus of the North York Moors Railway is at nearby Grosmont, inviting you to take a steam railway ride back in history through beautiful moorland scenery.
