“Well appointed cosy cottage with fine views out over Grosmont village and the railway below.”
It is an ex Methodist chapel that has been converted to a high standard, with underfloor heating and is very well insulated.
The Station Tavern pub was a short walk away, very welcoming and had a great range of the local delicacy, the Parmo!
Good description of the property re the step and stairs. The steps up from the dedicated parking space are unlit, though a torch is provided in the entrance hall (and it does enhance the fantastic view of the night sky when the skies are clear).

Ideally suited for exploring the locality with the NYMR station just down the hill. We took the short train trip to Goathland visiting the not to be missed Birch Hall pub at Beck Hole.
Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, the Hole of Horcum and Old May Beck / Falling Foss are just a short drive away.
Overall a fantastic place to stay, highly recommended.
