“Lovely cottage finished to a very high standard.”

Warm and cosy and everything you could possibly want. I very enjoyable stay with some lovely walks which our miniature dachsie thoroughly enjoyed as did we. A lovely part of the country.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Pebble Cottage.”

The accommodation is excellent and we felt very welcome- including the dog. The cottage is attractively furnished and well equipped. The garden provided a peaceful spot to enjoy lunch outside. The children loved the top floor bedroom with its telescope and astronomy books! Pebble Cottage is well located for exploring the local area and it would be comfortable in any season. Thank you.

“This is our 5th visit to Pebble Cottage.”

Always lovely and clean. Its home from home for us. Had a small issue with shower leaking on the last visit but the owner was very very helpful and extremley friendly. I would Highly recommend this cottage. The addition of a small freezer on the work top in the kitchen was a big bonus. One small suggestion is a washing line outside in the back garden would be useful. We will definatley return. Lovely house.

Cosy, clean and everything you need for a week. It’s within walking distance of Runswick Bay and a lovely coastal walk to Staithes. I will definitely return to this cottage.

“Lovely cottage in the perfect location for visiting beautiful beaches up and down the coast.”

Everything you could need with the exception of local amenities as neither pub in the village serves food now which was disappointing. Parking was also a slight problem and cottage felt cold. Apart from minor niggles it was everything we wanted for a lovely week away in a beautiful area of the east coast.

As far as we are aware, the Badger Hounds in the village is open for both drinks and food, the Brown Cow only serves drinks. “Could not fault the property at all it had everything described in the listing.”

We had a great time on our stay. One thing that should be mentioned in the visitors information is that currently the Brown Cow pub does not serve food. It's not a major problem but needs to be noted.

The property

Pebble House is a charming, classic mid-terrace cottage located just off the major road in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, north of Whitby.

The house is suitable for families and friends who want to enjoy the magnificent blend of moorland and seaside in this attractive section of the country, and it is well-maintained and well-equipped. The spacious dining room features sumptuous seating and a good selection of books and games to keep you entertained on a rainy day.

Downstairs, there is a welcoming sitting room enjoying the flickering flames of the woodburner and an archway adjoining the spacious dining room, which enjoys sumptuous seating and a decent range of books and games to keep you entertained on a drizzly day.

The well-equipped galley type kitchen has access to a small back yard, and there is an enclosed gravelled area in front of the house where guests may relax and unwind while enjoying the weather.

The three delightful bedrooms can be found upstairs, which include a king-size, double, and single with pull-out bed, and are spread across two floors while good flexibility to meet all needs; all are served by a stylish shower room.

For added convenience, the double-bedroom on the second story is also accessible by open tread steps.

Within a short walk of this delightful home are great local amenities, including a superb butcher, a local bar, a tea-room, and a village shop.

Runswick Bay, a charming fishing community about one mile away, has a sandy cove with options for fossil hunting and rock pooling, which is always popular with the kids!

Explore the adjacent seaside town of Whitby, rich in history, with its tiny, cobbled streets, intriguing shops, and historic abbey, or take a bracing cliff-top stroll on the Cleveland Way with spectacular coastline views.

Pebble Cottage, located on the outskirts of the North York Moors, is a great location for walking, travelling, or simply exploring the charming coastal towns and villages.
