“We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Hornsea.”

Our Sea Front apartment really made our stay. The apartment was very spotless,spacious and so comfortable. The facilities were excellent. The layout of the small bedroom was very cleverly planned. There was a a triple bunk which made very good use of the space. While there was no wardrobe a very good size hanging rail was tucked in neatly behind the door. My Mum-in-Law told us she was very comfy in there. In one word, brilliant! Will certainly stay again and as we are not that far away could nip there for a weekend! Thank you Lois.

“We stayed here recently for a family holiday and it is perfect for a family of four.”

The apartment is a great size and has all the amenities you need. It is was very clean and tidy and a perfect base for exploring the local area. The beach is literally just a minutes walk away and the high street and town a short ten minute walk, and not far from restaurants, cafes and shops. There are many places to go to within just a short 30 minute drive, but we spent a lot of time on the blue flag beach, which our son loved. We spent the best half a day at Honeysuckle farm which is brilliantly geared up for young children and there were plenty of animals to see and things to do, and if you enjoy walking then heading to Flamborough and hiking from there along the coastal path is beautiful. The apartment was ideally located for everything and we would definitely return.

“This is a comfy, clean, well furnished and perfectly located holiday flat.”

It was home from home, immaculate and a stones throw from the beach and close enough to the town centre. We had a super fortnight exploring the coast and pursuing hobbies and were extremely happy with the accommodation. “We had a lovely stay at Bay View.”

Our second stay. The weather was wet windy and cold. But the apartment was really cosy and the sea view is beautiful. We had a problem with no hot water and within minutes of me ringing Jane came around and sorted it. Thank you Lois for the treats you left for us and our little dog. “Lovely spacious apartment on sea front in Hornsea.”

Every thing you need for a stay. Plenty of cafes, bars and pubs in village, all appear to be dog friendly. Nice touch that the owner contacted us on arrival to make sure everything was ok.

“Great location and a lovely clean and well maintained property.”

Good amenities close by as described in the property information. Only slight negative is that the mattress on the top bunk needs replacing as the first night my daughter could feel the springs. I put a couple of spare blankets under the sheet and then it was ok.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bay View.”

The apartment is exceptionally well located, with just a couple of minutes to the seafront and the dog-friendly section of the beach. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped; so much so in fact that there wasn't much room for food storage as the space was limited, but that wasn't a problem at all, as there are a few grocery shops nearby to stock up every couple of days. The owner took great care to make us feel welcome and to ensure we were happy, and had even left a couple of welcome gifts for us and the dog. We would have liked to stay longer.

“I must say that Bay View in the flesh is more beautiful than the pictures show!”

We have absolutely treasured our stay and would like to thank Lois personally for opening such a fantastic accomodation for us and others to stay at. It has felt like a home from home and a massive thank you also for the treats left for us on our arrival. Our dog hugely appreciated the treats that were left for her. This accommodation is by far the best I have stayed at in Hornsea. It is top quality and kept exceptionally clean, well presented and brilliantly furnished. We will certainly be booking again very soon and cannot wait to get back and stay in Bay View!! Amazing accommodation, fantastic location, the beds are so comfortable and beautifully furnished. The complete package if I'm being totally honest! Thank you for a great experience!!

“Bay View sea front apartment is very comfortable and well kept.”

Lovely information book for home and surrounding area. Good signs for the waste bins ( I am an avid recycler). Comfy beds and as the area is so peaceful we slept well! So nice to be able to see the sea from the lounge and also for the beach to be a short walk. Hornsea is a great seaside place for a holiday and Bay View a very good place to stay.

“The flat is in a prime spot, it’s quiet and then not far to walk to town.”

Comfortable lounge in apartment with a smart TV Central heating quick to warm up, bathroom with large shower, beds comfortable & well equipped kitchen although we only used the kettle. A clean & comfortable apartment and will definitely be back again.

“Lovely property situated on the road behind the promenade.”

A Victorian property with a lovely bay window with a view of the sea and the Floral Hall (handy for easy breakfasts and tasty lunches). It has a large living room with comfy leather sofas. The main bedroom is very large and the only criticism for us was the bed is only a double which is a shame as there’s loads of room for a king sized but that’s just our preference. There’s another smaller bedroom with bunk beds, the bottom one being a double. The kitchen is lovely and has everything you might need for your stay. The bathroom has a shower and everything was very clean. We can highly recommend this property, we loved being so close to the beach, and hope we can return soon.

“I am so glad we found this beautiful apartment in Hornsea.”

From the moment it was booked, communication from the owner was excellent. Lois made sure everything was well explained and lots of details about the area were also given before we had even arrived. Upon arrival, we were not disappointed at all. The property was clean, beautifully presented and very welcoming. There was even some welcome treats for us and our dog in the kitchen too. We couldn't wish for better accommodation during our stay there. It was well-equipped, extremely comfortable and the sea view was perfect. The location was ideal for beach walks along the promenade and into Hornsea itself. We hope to be back again soon and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to spend time in this area. “Another lovely stay at Bay View.”

Everything very clean and tidy on arrival. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery, fridge/freezer and all the essentials, very quick boil kettle - welcome pack was much appreciated. Towels and bedding also provided. Excellent location close to the sea and just across from the Floral Hall, we had no issues with parking, as I was aware of leaving enough space for the tenant in the top apartment. The apartment is much bigger than it first appears, plenty of room for us. Lois, the owner, kept in touch, and topped up the gas, when needed, ensuring we could keep ourselves warm and toasty on the cold days. Looking forward to visiting again in the not too distant future.

Communication from the owner Lois was really good, I feel that she went above & beyond to make sure that we had everything that we needed & explained everything clearly, including how to access the property etc. Parking was right outside the apartment, which was ideal. “Lovely warm and inviting place, perfect for a short break at anytime of the year.”

Generous welcome pack which was really welcome, including treats for our pooch. Lois was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with, all info regarding facilities/key collection etc emailed across a few days before we arrived. Would highly recommend that you change the bulbs over to LED, it certainly would provide you with a considerable saving on the electric meter! Just one concern which a previous reviewer has already stated, there was a profound smell of cat pee in the shared foyer (not at all once you're in the property), this was most definitely due to a bag of used cat litter being kept in the foyer from the owner of the flat upstairs for the entire length of our stay, you may want to have a word with said upstairs owner about this, it didn't stop us enjoying our stay but it will for sure be noted by others! Many thanks once again Lois for an incredible time at Bay View and we will be returning in the not too distant future.

Thanks for your lovely review, Mark. Sorry for the delay in responding it wouldn't let me comment on here for some reason for ages. I am so glad you had a lovely stay and thanks for the tip about the LED lights. It is great to see you've booked again too :-) I have cleaned everything in the shared foyer (and replaced the floor, new lino/vinyl, my doormats) so many times trying to work out what it was causing the smell and to get rid of it once and for all. That bag has salt it in for the path for over the winter for when it gets icy so it's not cat litter in there. I think I have finally worked the smell out to be the doormat of the other flat which they say holds sentimental value to them and they don't want to dispose of it. However, they have said they are going to give it a good clean - so fingers crossed that sorts it out once and for all! Property Owner

It was obvious some places were either missed or had a quick flick over to clean, the front door looks like the original although quaint could do with replacing and the foyer smelled of cats, the parking was OK but got told of once by the property owner ,who lives upstairs, parking to far from the near side wall and she struggled to get out of the 2car parking bay,with a larger car you would struggle in the space provided, otherwise it was a break away

As I explained in the information I sent to you before your stay that the porch/foyer area and parking is shared with the lady in the upstairs flat and to be mindful to leave her enough room to get in and out of her car when parking in the space. There is also free parking on the road outside the property too if you found the space too small for a large car. The front door has been having some maintenance on it too as with it being right near the sea it has to put up with all sorts of weather during the year :-) Property Owner

The flat was in a great spot, a minute from the front with a view of the sea and parking on the door step. Hornsea is a pretty little seaside town with a long sandy beach, a bustling main street and cute little museum. The flat was clean and spacious, bigger than it looks on the pics. Well equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer, as well as airers, iron and board etc. Comfy beds and sofas. Welcoming treats (and milk!) were also a bonus! Would definitely stay again.

The dog enjoyed being on the beach within two minutes. It was very clean and comfortable and the welc.ome pack was a nice surprise. We had one issue with the smoke alarm which was dealt with efficiently. Most of the cafes in hornsea are dog friendly and the meals at the outlet are fabulous.

The apartment is on one level on the ground floor with a property above. You are a short walk to the beach and the Floral Hall. This is ideal.A bus service close by and amenities. The apartment was clean,airy,bright and suitable for a small family or couples. Even solo would be ideal. Only have to be mindful of the parking as you need to be careful of the wall so more suitable for a small car. I highly recommend this apartment and would visit again. It was fantastic to open the living room curtains every morning to brilliant sunshine making the living room come alive (I realise we were very lucky with the weather last week). The apartment is well cared for and really well equipped, in fact I don't think there was anything we didn't have, and the welcome pack was well received by us and Casper the dog who enjoyed his doggy treats.

Great location, seafront a stones throw away, as are eateries/pubs/shops. Would highly recommend this property. Only one thing, bed to firm for our comfort. But slept well. Lovely apartment Lois.

“We had a fabulous time in this apartment.”

It was spotlessly clean, very spacious and had everything a family could need for a stay near the sea. Absolutely amazing view of the sea from the large living room window. Lovely welcome pack was waiting for us in the kitchen, which was a really nice touch and the communication with the owner was good too. My husband and I and our dog stayed here but there would have been plenty of room for a family of four. Would love to stay here again as 2 nights wasn’t enough for us.

“Excellent location, with the bonus of a parking space for one car.”

On street parking was available close by, the Floral Hall has 3 hours free parking, just across the road, and there are other car parks close by, one of which is free. The apartment had everything we needed for a great stay. It was very fresh smelling when we arrived, beds were made and towels ready to use. Easy access to the seafront, and walk into town, with a variety of ways to get back, through parks, on the road, or by the sea. Numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and take-aways, within the town. The Seafront Chippy offers a pensioner's fish and chips for £4 and is only a couple of minutes away. The Floral Hall does a fantastic bacon sandwich, and mugs of hot chocolate were really good. The owner kept in touch to ensure we had enough credit on the gas and electric. Smart TV was great, Now TV was available, not that we used it, and there were radios dotted around. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of pots and pans etc., oven worked well, and there was a fridge/freezer. A nice welcome pack was a lovely gesture, and much appreciated. We had a lovely week in the Sea Front Apartment and hope to be back again.

“Had the most wonderful holiday at Bay View.”

Beautiful ground floor very well equipped apartment. It has spectacular views from the sitting room of the North Sea. Loved the town of Hornsea and walks on the beach everyday. Communication from owner excellent. Only one small thing that would make it perfect is a better toilet seat. Other than that had a wonderful stay. The welcome goodies left were very much appreciated thank you and also the fact the housekeeper had turned up the heating so it was super cosy and warm on our arrival.

“This was a lovely comfortable clean apartment.”

Close to all amenities and beach across the road. What more could you ask for. The only down side for me and this is nothing to do with the actual apartment is the entrance porch. The lady upstairs keeps cats and it does smell a bit. You CAN NOT smell it inside the apartment!!

“The property was very warm and comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere.”

Main rooms were well equipped and the sea view was a lovely surprise. All amenities, including the beach, shops and eating places were just a short walk away. The bus stop across the road gave us access to all major towns in the area and reduced our need to drive!! The information the owners have provided about things to do were spot on and helped us to really explore the locale. We would be very happy to return for another stay in the future.

All-ground-floor and sleeping up to five guests, Sea Front Apartment is a well-located and inviting holiday home for your next trip to the Yorkshire coast, within easy reach of Bridlington and Hull.

An off-road parking spot brings you to the front of the property where you enter into a bright and airy living room, with a bay window boasting gorgeous sea views, an electric fire, TV and sofas, there is also a dining area with a table and two chairs, for you to enjoy an evening meal made in the fully-equipped kitchen.

In the single-storey apartment, there are also two bedrooms; one with a double bed and one with an adult bunk, both of which have access to the shower room with basin and WC.

The pretty seaside town of Hornsea lies on the East Coast, 15 miles south of Bridlington. This old Victorian resort has long, wide, safe sandy beaches and an attractive promenade with well-kept gardens, ideal for families.
