The property

Lovely detached cottage with uninterrupted sea view, there are lovely patio areas to sit and relax and soak in the sea air, private driveway which can take 2 cars, pet friendly accommodation with enclosed garden, it rests in the town of Hornsea and is an ideal base for everyone to explore the shoreline of the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The cottage has three entrances, first is from the Beach side, where the handy utility takes care of your sandy clothes, the second is access to a relaxing conservatory with views of the flowering roses, and is a tranquil snug where you can relax and soak up the tranquility or simply enjoy a book this also has a sofa bed which can facilitate two guests, third is French doors which gives direct access into the fitted kitchen/diner, the welcoming room has a breakfast bar and seating area at the table for you to relax and admire the lovely view of the sea, the décor makes you know you are at the sea with lovely sea-themed wallpaper and contemporary facilities to cater to your culinary needs.

Settle into the sitting room beside the glowing gas fire and plan the day ahead of you with a coffee in hand, this room also has a sofa bed which can facilitate two guests.

Enjoy a soak in the corner bath or a warm refreshing shower before snuggling up in the double bedroom.

Outside, the property offers a garden space with a patio looking over to the sea, which is only a 3 minutes’ walk to the beach, and a barbecue where you can put your cooking skills to the test, also there is a lovely summer house with a large settee and table for you to relax and unwind peacefully.

Hornsea is a lovely coastal town with a great variety of tasty eateries, pubs, and shops for guests to enjoy, including The Green Owl and Marine, it is only 5 minutes’ walk into the town passing through the very pretty memorial gardens.

The town has a fantastic beach where guests can spend a day paddling along the coast, as well as Hornsea Mere where water sports facilities are available.

The town has a performance and events venue called Floral Hall/Café (this was built in 1911), Craft and Antique Collectors Fair shows are held regularly, throughout the year there is the Laughing Gull Comedy Club Night, and also the Seaside Soul Night, many other events are held at the venue., (You’ll have to keep a look out for what’s coming).

Annual events are held in the Hall Garth Park, this includes The Classic Car Show, The Bike Event, The Hornsea Carnival, Xmas Lights Switch On and many other events, (You’ll have to keep a look out for what’s coming).

Visit the local golf course to try out a game or two or find out more about the intriguing creatures at Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo.

There is also the Market town of Beverley (13 miles), it’s an easy car drive or you can use the local bus service, the town holds the weekly market every Saturday, the town is best known for Beverley Minster, Beverley Westwood, North Bar and Beverley Racecourse, the town has many shops and restaurants, it holds a huge amount of History.

For more amenities and attractions head over to Bridlington (14 miles), where there is another fantastic beach, as well as links to scenic walks through the Flamborough Outer Headlands Nature Reserve, and beyond this you will find Scarborough with its museum, harbour, amazing castle, and arcades.

Hull is also well worth a visit (15 miles), with many shops to browse, and a local museum and aquarium.

HORNSEA

Bridlington 15 miles.

The pretty seaside town of Hornsea lies on the East Coast, 15 miles south of Bridlington. This old Victorian resort has long, wide, safe sandy beaches and an attractive promenade with well-kept gardens, ideal for families. The bustling town centre has an old-fashioned feel with a good variety of small shops, pubs and cafes, whilst nearby Hornsea Mere is the largest natural lake in Yorkshire and offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. Hornsea Freeport is popular for shopping, whilst Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve can be reached in just over half an hour's drive, offering one of the largest mainland puffin populations in Britain. Hornsea is near to Wassand Hall and walled gardens and provides a good base for touring the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors and the East Riding coastal resorts. The historic city of York, Beverley with it's famous gothic minster and The Deep at Hull are within an easy drive.
