“Bay Cottage was a joy to stay in from the very thoughtful welcome pack to the cleanliness of the property and the general condition and provision of utilities you can see the owners take great pride in their property and care of their guests.”

We have stayed in other properties on site but this far exceeds any of them. We would have no hesitation in recommending Bay Cottage and would look to book again in the future.

The cottage was short of nothing. Ideally situated to get about and see the local area. Beach great just be prepared for the uphill walk back! Definitely would stay again if we holiday in Filey in the future.

Clean and all towels etc provided, TV reception is a bit hit and miss but did not spoil our Holiday. a 10 min walk to the beach kept our elderly Labrador happy. All of the facilities on site our within a couple of minutes walk. Handy for both Bridlington and Scarborough. Would highly recommend.

The owners have thought of every comfort and are very helpful. There is also the added attraction of additional facilities available on the complex, and the cottage's location by a fantastic crescent of sandy beach, plus other seaside towns and attractions nearby.

Absolutely gorgeous decor throughout. Since photos taken, new furniture and flooring. Everything needed for the perfect stay available. Amazing thoughtful welcome pack, including treats for our dog. So cozy and warm and so near all the amenities on site. Parking space opposite the cottage too. Friendly owners getting in touch before and after our visit. First time we have visited The Bay resort. Ideal place to visit nearby resorts and near beach. We definitely will be back and highly recommend this cottage..x

It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The short walk to the beach from our cottage was fantastic for quick walks with the dog or longer walks over to Filey. The park's location off the main road meant that it was always easy and quick to get to other towns and locations in the car. The park definitely lacked an on site shop but I understand that there is one planned for the future.

“The bay is fabulous, so clean and tidy we will deffo go back.”

The cottage was just like photos however the bathroom has issues, shower pipe has holes in so the water comes out in different directions, the shower head needs replacing as the holes are blocked, and the plug hole is blocked so when you have a shower it’s like you’re having a bath. I have fed this back to the owner directly. The rest of the property was spot on! The single beds are full of springs and not comfy at all however I’m told the larger bed was very comfy. When we arrived the travel cot was all made up, the fresh bed linen and towels all laid out. All facilities in the property worked, TV was fab, kitchen well equipped, heating worked and the property was very warm and cosy.

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. As owners of Bay cottage we welcome all feedback both good and bad. We take all comments on board and try to address any problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. We take pride in our property and in the way that we prepare the property for all our guests. We aim for a high standard and feel by servicing the property ourselves we can maintain this standard. We are able to deal with any issues we encounter straight away. For example you mentioned the shower pipe and head, these were not blocked and did not have holes in them it was merely a case of the shower head needed tightening up as it had been partially disconnected for some reason. We asked a plumber to investigate the bath/shower plug and have been advised of no blockage and just the fact that drainage on all properties at The Bay is slightly slower than normal. We were sorry to hear you found the beds uncomfortable, we have never been alerted to this before, however we do feel mattresses are a very personal choice and some people will prefer a firm mattress whilst others prefer a softer one. Once again thank you for bringing your points to our attention, we can now look forward to our future guests enjoying their stay, many of whom are returning guests who stay with us year after year. We felt very safe within the site and everyone was complying with restrictions. The Leisure Centre was well organised as we were able to book a 1 hour slot for the gym/pool.

Great location on the site, near to the amenities but still quiet. Only a short walk to the excellent beach which we would have enjoyed more but the weather wasn't too kind on the week we visited so we were very pleased to have a warm cosy cottage to return to! NOT the case here! My wife took one look around and said "I could live here". It's a real home from home and the location means it's a pleasant walk along the beach to Filey or short drives to nearby Scarborough or Bridlington. Nice welcome pack by the way.

We arrived to a lovely welcome pack and treats for the dog much appreciated. The Bay is a great location to stay with easy short journeys to Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby. The only disappointment we had is eating in the Bayside Kitchen Dinner we ordered panini’s but had to leave them as they were not nice at all and the menu for the John Paul Pub has changed since the Bay changed from Hoseasons and the food is not as good.

“This is our fifth stay at Bay Cottage and once again we have loved every minute.”

As well as the great facilities including the pool, gym, arcade and brilliant pub, it is a great base for exploring up and down the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. Scarborough and Bridlington are only 20 minutes away and Whitby only 40 minutes' drive. Filey beach really is fantastic and we have had lots of lovely walks with the dog over the golden sands. The cottage itself is always spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped for our family of four. The welcome basket is such a lovely treat on arrival. The bedroom and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable and the cosy lounge-diner is perfect for our family time spent indoors. We have stayed in other cottages at The Bay but nothing comes close to Bay Cottage for comfort, cleanliness and facilities. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and cannot wait to come back in the autumn. Ground Floor A great choice for all the family, this is a very smart cottage with a bright and spacious interior, perfect for a wonderful holiday. The entrance hall leads to a smart open plan sitting room with comfortable seating and a TV/DVD player.

A dining room provides an spot to enjoy meals together whilst discussing the day's planned adventures, with French doors leading to the rear garden area. The separate kitchen is very stylish and incorporates an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a useful ground floor WC/cloaks. First Floor There is a lovely double bedroom with a deep, comfortable bed, fitted wardrobes, TV and a dressing area. A charming seaside-themed twin bedroom has two full size 3' beds.

The smart house bathroom has a bath, shower over, wash hand basin and WC. Outside A small paved patio terrace outside is perfect for enjoying breakfast or pre-dinner drinks al fresco! The Bay Bay Cottage is surrounded by well-kept lawned grounds, ornamental lakes and picnic areas.

There is parking opposite the house. Guests have free access to the excellent leisure facilities on-site including a 20m indoor heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, fully-equipped gym and separate exercise studio, children's playground, three lakes - one of which is available for fishing - and an excellent inn, serving very good food plus a great Mediterranean restaurant. There is also a wide variety of activities to suit all age groups including bike hire, tennis, archery, fencing and a spa offering beauty treatments.

Located on one of the most naturally beautiful stretches of the Yorkshire Coast, the Bay Filey is fronted by six miles of golden, sandy beach and is an exclusive development of traditional styled holiday cottages, off the A165 Filey to Bridlington road. Filey is a popular choice and is reminiscent of childhood holidays – an elegant and tranquil seaside town boasting a beautiful, award-winning beach, charming shops and plenty of activities for all the family. Filey Beach, with miles of golden, sandy beach nearby – recently voted the UK’s Best Beach in 2018 – there’s always plenty of room for the little ones to let off some steam and for the adults to walk for miles uninterrupted. Or try your hand at water sports such as sailing or surfing or just settle down in a deck chair with a good book and enjoy the sunshine. Filey Museum is a past winner of Discover Yorkshire Coast’s Small Attraction of the Year award, is housed in a building dating from 1696, and is crammed with fascinating memorabilia, including an extensive photographic archive. Dalby Forest is an excellent choice for cyclists, where they can enjoy a challenge at Dalby Forest, or perhaps follow some of the Tour De Yorkshire route and tackle the famous Cote De Harwood Dale or just pedal village to village along the idyllic country roads of the nearby Wolds and admire the views made famous by leading artist David Hockney. Bird lovers will love the nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs to see the 250,000 guillemots, gannets and puffins who flock there to raise their young between April and August. It is a haven for birds and animals, including an important colony of great-crested newts and has an interesting Visitor Centre. Scarborough is 20 minutes north of Filey where theatre goers can enjoy the world premieres of Alan Ayckbourn plays plus Scarborough Open Air Theatre attracts many world-class artists – recent concerts have included Britney Spears, The Beach Boys, Little Mix and Tom Jones!
