    “A surprisingly good holiday week!”

As this was a last minute break and booked only the week before and was the ONLY listing Sykes had for the week in all of England, we were not expecting anything outstanding. As this was a last minute break and booked only the week before and was the ONLY listing Sykes had for the week in all of England, we were not expecting anything outstanding. However the property was really nice. The kitchen was fantastic with built in appliances throughout and very nicely laid out. Unusually for a rental holiday house had a full fridge/freezer so you can stock up for a bit longer if you need to. Living room was very comfortable with a large sofa and a swivel chair and a dining table against one wall. Outside there was a nice table and chairs for dining out - but at the time we went it was time for "much spreading" it seems to it wasnt always pleasent outside. Not a reflection on the property - but was a very small disadvantage. Bedrooms and bathroom were all very nice - with flexibility in the room with a double and twin. As some others have said, it would have been nice to have a coat hook "somewhere" in the house, and a chair in the main double bedroom would have been useful for the desk/dressing table. I ended up taking one of the dining chairs up there so I could sit up to my laptop! Location was perfect - midway between Bridlington and Scarborough and we had a very nice relaxing break and enjoyed the seaside at both, as well as Peasholm park in Scarborough and Filey Bird Garden and Bridlington Animal Park. Would definately recommend.
