    “Excellent property, clean, comfortable and well equipped for a self catering holiday.”

    Very dog friendly, dogs enjoyed playing in the very secure garden. Pleasant walks direct from outside the property. Owner’s onsite, very friendly and approachable but not intrusive. Overall an excellent property in a great area, would not hesitate to rebook when returning to this area. Well done to the owners.

The sympathetic conversion of old stone farm buildings has resulted in three holiday cottages of country charm, character and comfort. Situated around a courtyard, the properties exude quality with exposed stonework, oak flooring and timber beams complemented by airy shaker-style kitchens and underfloor heating. One property has been designed for wheelchair access and two of the cottages offer all ground floor accommodation, which may be suitable for guests with limited mobility, making them a great choice for a holiday with the whole family. KIRKBYMOORSIDE

Pickering 6 miles; Helmsley 5 miles.

The attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. It is a charming place, full of Yorkshire character, and is the centre for the local farms and villages. Visitors will find a variety of shops from tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to antique shops, while there is a market day on Wednesday. The excellent walking and magnificent scenery of the National Park are close by, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham. Pickering is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a ‘must do’ day out for all visitors to the area. Castle Howard, York, Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy driving distance.
