“What a lovely holiday cottage - high standard of cleanliness, well equipped, very comfortable bed, fabulous welcome pack for us and the dog, but most importantly for us - Sarita and Dave are so welcoming and friendly, but not at all intrusive.”

The farm is such a fab place - feeding the alpacas and pigs is lovely. The most peaceful place we've stayed, listening to the owls at night is just lovely. Thank you so much for providing such a lovely cottage - we'll definitely be back.

Harland Beck Farm Cottages

These two charming, single-storey stone barn conversions (Norah's Nook and Erica's 'eaven) are located within the owners’ grounds in a courtyard setting, on their 40-acre farm with Belted Galloway cattle amidst the spectacular scenery of Farndale, 2.5 miles from Kirkbymoorside in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. Offering all ground floor accommodation, these attractive cottages are the perfect hideaway for couples wanting peace and tranquillity, but are conveniently located within a few minutes’ drive to the surrounding pretty market towns. They are bright and cheerful, with modern kitchens and bathrooms and comfortable sitting rooms, providing very welcoming holiday homes. Outside, guests can relax on the sunny patios, in the sheltered courtyards and savour the stunning moorland countryside, where beautiful walks lead straight from the door. If visiting in springtime, be sure to try the renowned Daffodil Walk which leads from the end of the drive, where a traditional, local inn awaits you at the end of your journey! Also on the farm are a small herd of Grey Faces Dartmoor sheep and lambs. There are also 3 tame Alpaccas and a couple of horses, and there are farm chickens laying fresh eggs. Kirkbymoorside has an excellent array of quality cafes, independent shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as a weekly market. Golfers will delight in the parkland golf course on the edge of this popular market town. Nearby Pickering is the terminus of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which winds its way through heather-clad countryside, steaming along to Grosmont. With numerous historic properties in the area, including Helmsley Castle, Duncombe Park and Castle Howard, these cottages will appeal to all.
