This quaint two-bedroom home, Adelaide's Cottage,(formerly Juliann`s Cottage) is located in the heart of Pickering, a historic town in North Yorkshire.

The cottage is perfect for a rural getaway, accommodating four people, and features original beamed ceilings, a country-style kitchen, a cosy living room, and roomy bedrooms, and is located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.

Prepare some delectable meals in the well-stocked kitchen before settling around the dining room table as a group to make plans for your time spent in the great outdoors.

Retire to the comfortable sitting area, complete with a plush corner sofa and charming furniture, where you may unwind or read one of the numerous novels available.

Before getting some rest in the tastefully decorated bedrooms, which include king-size and twin rooms, head outdoors for some fresh air to the public seating area; both bedrooms are serviced by a contemporary shower room.

A variety of conveniences, including Figaro's restaurant, Spice 4 U takeaway, Feast Deli & Cafe, and a nearby Co-op, are only a few steps away and are all recommended to ease your self-catering stay.

Adelaide's Cottage is close to several other attractions, including the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which is a 180-year-old railway.

Pickering Castle, a magnificent castle from the thirteenth century that is great for sightseeing, Beck Isle Museum, and Go Ape Dalby, which is ideal for the thrill-seeking members of your group.

When you arrive at Helmsley, trail up Newgate Bank for views of the surrounding countryside, then stop by the National Centre for Birds of Prey (NCBP), which hosts a variety of flying demonstrations, and Helmsley Castle, which displays 900-years history.

The thriving and well-known town of Scarborough is reachable by car, and it offers a wide range of attractions, such as tours of Scarborough Castle, strolls in the Italian Gardens, a coastal hike across Cleveland Way, and SEA LIFE Scarborough, offering marine life exhibits.

This historic market town, with its full range of amenities and traditional shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, serves as the official gateway to the beautiful North York Moors National Park, home of the Heartbeat countryside. Enjoy a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, where Harry Potter fans can even explore some of the locations used in the filming of The Philosopher’s Stone! The Beck Isle Museum is also well worth a visit, with its unique collection of black and white photography and displays of rural life. Walkers will be spoilt for choice by the rolling hills, valleys, rivers and abundant wildlife of the North York Moors, whilst the city of York and the Heritage Coast are just half an hour’s drive away. All in all, a wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday.
