    “We really enjoyed our stay at ‘Sea u Soon’.”

    The flat is surprisingly spacious with everything you need for a comfortable get away. It is fitted with storage heaters and was really warm, the shower was good and unlike many places the parking was simple. The weather was kind for late October and the flat was ideally located for some good walks on the Cleveland Way. We had a really nice 7 mile walk into Whitby and Saltburn is only a short trip in the car. Overall it was a good break and the flat was very good value for what we paid. Would ...

As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the well-presented bedrooms, comprising a king-size double with zip/link beds and an additional double bedroom, each designed with ample storage and space to house all of your personal belongings.

If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, venture a few miles into the village of Staithes, where you will find a pub serving food and a choice of shops for picking up the essentials.

Alternatively, venture down to Runswick Bay’s sandy beach, where you can laze on the sands, walk along the coast or enjoy a spot of fossil hunting.

Brush up on the local history by spending an afternoon at the Captain Cook and Staithes Heritage Centre, and the Ironstone Mining Museum, or venture further afield to the historic town of Whitby.

The historic fishing village of Runswick Bay is without doubt one of the true gems of the Yorkshire Coast, if not the whole of the UK. This picturesque SE-facing village situated 9 miles from Whitby sits in a beautiful sheltered sandy-beached bay backed by spectacular cliffs and moorland scenery. Relatively un-commercialised and with vehicular traffic restricted, the village provides the perfect setting in which to relax and unwind. Relish in taking long walks on either the sandy beach or along the Cleveland Way on the clifftop above. There is much to do in the local area, whether it's visiting Whitby with its famous Abbey, Staithes with its pretty shops, cafes and superb art gallery, or touring the dramatic North York Moors. The lower village houses a local inn serving food along with a spectacularly situated cafe, whilst nearby Hinderwell provides 2 inns, a fish and chip shop, a local butchers and a garage/petrol station. A Co-op is situated at Staithes 2 miles away.
