“Good points:
The cottage was lovely.”
Going away at this time of year, it's always a bit of a worry that the heating may not be up to scratch, but this was the warmest place we've ever stayed! The porch was particularly useful for taking off dirty walking boots and cleaning grubby dogs before entering the cottage. The kitchen was well equipped and the oven worked well. The shower was extremely good, and the bed was very comfortable. Best of all, there were more than enough coat hangers in the wardrobe!
Bad points:
The lack of any kind of welcome pack on arrival (normally we would get at least some milk in the fridge and some teabags) and the fact that several comments that people put in the visitor book to do with the broken toilet seat do not seem to have been acted upon. Also the TV volume was very idiosyncratic - one minute it would be so quiet that the volume had to be on 100%, the next it was deafening and had to be turned down - all on the same programme on the same channel! Again, several people had commented on this and it wouldn't cost much to replace the TV for a newer (maybe slightly larger) model and avoid these adverse comments.
Finally, the wifi wasn't working because the wifi extender wasn't connected to the router - I work in IT so was able to fix this so it does now work :-)
