“Unfortunately I have to say we were disappointed with east row lodge.”
From the pictures, the reviews and the price we had a level of expectation that was certainly not met. One review mentioned a welcome pack. We never got one. Unless it was the dirty towel that was left hanging on the door to the twin room, presumably from the previous guests. Not great during the Covid era. The house is starting to look weary and the “dining area”, as someone has mentioned, is not comfortable for 6 (and 2 of us were children).
The parking for 2 is parking for one and a half. One of our cars had its rear jutting out onto the pathway all week. This made for tense times for the owner of that vehicle due to the number of pedestrians and buggy’s walking past it all day.
The outside area is looking tired. And with the wheelie bin right next to the seating area and no where else it can really go that doesn’t lend itself to the idyllic morning brew in the sun imagery.
Although in a great location, just by the beach, my sister went on her holiday to France at the same time and had a massive villa that hosts 12 with a private pool, pool table, table tennis, table football, massive fireplace and amazing views. The whole thing cost less than East Row lodge. You can’t tell from the photos exactly what you’re getting but compared to the numerous holiday cottages we have been to, unfortunately you are not getting what you pay for.
