The property

This superb, second floor apartment is set above the owner's picture gallery in the heart of the popular seaside town of Scarborough.

With all amenities on the doorstep, it is the perfect base for couples and small families to enjoy a wonderful holiday by the sea.

Although on the second floor, access is via the narrow side lane and just up one flight of private stairs into the apartment.

The bright and spacious open plan living area feels warm and welcoming, with sunshine streaming in through the wide windows and a large comfortable corner sofa to sink into and relax in the evening.

With a contemporary streamlined kitchen and a dining table in the window, this lovely room can't fail to please.

The king-size bedroom is to the rear of the apartment and has the benefit of an additional day bed and a Jack-and-Jill wet room, a very individual and opulent shower room, with Bluetooth speakers set into the mirror.

With tasteful and quality furnishings throughout including oak flooring and Egyptian cotton bed linens, guests are assured of every comfort here.

Step outside the apartment and you have pubs, shops and restaurants all at hand, with an excellent Chinese and Italian just a couple of minutes’ walk, or stroll along the road to visit the castle ruins, perched high on the cliff top.

Walk down to the seafront and small harbour, where there are golden sands, donkey rides and traditional seafood stalls, with cafés, fish and chips and candy floss to enjoy!

The choice of attractions in the immediate area is enviable, including the open air theatre in Peasholm Park, Scarborough Cricket Ground, the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round, the Sealife Centre at Northbay and art galleries and museums.

If you can tear yourselves away from the town, the surrounding countryside of the North York Moors has miles of scenic cycle routes and a wonderful network of public footpaths that take you through spectacular scenery and moorland.

With all this at your fingertips, Picadore provides a luxurious base for a brilliant holiday.
