White Lodge Cottage is a charming 200 year old 'farm worker's cottage' situated within the stunning North York Moors National Park close to Dalby Forest, set in 33 acres of rewilded private grounds.
The cottage is situated in the hamlet of Langdale End in a beautiful valley overlooking Black Beck and the Derwent River.
Guests can enjoy the entire area which includes a wildlife pond with a bird hide and a platform overlooking the valley.
The farm is home to a host of wildlife, including badgers, deer, foxes, otters, barn owls, kestrels, goshawks and bats.
Being one of only 18 Dark-Sky Reserves in the world, the North Yorkshire Moors is one of the best places to see stars, up to 2,000 at any one time and with the help of our observatory telescope it is possible to see deep sky objects that would otherwise be invisible to the human eye.
Step inside the cottage, and you'll find a welcoming sitting room, fitted with a TV and a woodburning stove to keep the chill at bay on cooler evenings.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the essentials, while the utility room features a convenient washing machine.
The dining room offers plenty of space for everyone to gather, making it the perfect spot to share tales of the day's adventures.
Outside, the property features a charming garden, ideal for sipping your morning coffee amidst the peaceful setting or enjoying an evening tipple whilst relaxing in the hot tub.
White Lodge Cottage provides an excellent base for discovering the delights of North Yorkshire.
From Dalby Forest with it's walking paths and cycle routes, to Peasholm Park and its tranquil lake to the atmospheric ruins of Scarborough Castle, there is no shortage of memorable experiences on the doorstep of White Lodge Cottage.
