“Cottage is gorgeous but can’t really be classed as dog friendly when dogs are not allowed upstairs.”
This is fine but you need to provide some sort of gate at the bottom of the open stairs if you don’t want them to go up. We had to wedge two dining chairs across the opening which wasn’t ideal as then we had no chairs to sit on!! Apart from that small issue the cottage is lovely but it could do with softening up with a large rug and some artwork on the walls
Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear that you thought Granary Cottage was gorgeous and lovely. The cottage is dog friendly with small pet bowls, a dog blanket provided and a secure enclosed rear garden space. There are numerous walks in the area ranging from country lanes, bridlepaths, moorland, forestry and local beaches which are great for dogs. We can also easily install a stair gate on the stairs to assist guests but had not been made aware that you required one as this wasn't mentioned when we checked if everything was ok for you in the cottage. We appreciate your comments and will make sure that this option is more clearly displayed in the cottage in the future. We understand that certain preferences, like interior decoration, can vary from person to person, but there is artwork in the cottage and also cushions and throws in each room to provide colour and texture for a homely and welcoming feel.
