“Firstly the camera work makes this place look very spacious, imo this accommodation is suited to 4 occupants at most .”

On arrival we found there is no curtain at the front door ,which is right opposite both bedroom doors ,luckily there was no one occupying the opposite lodge . When we went to cook on the first night my wife had to spend 40 mins cleaning the oven ,as oven was not clean at all ,we do have photos if disputed (on wife's phone ) ,we found an empty bubble bath bottle down the back of the bath , several cobwebs and a cake wrapper in the cupboard upstairs where the upstairs hoover is stored ,which ...

On arrival we found there is no curtain at the front door ,which is right opposite both bedroom doors ,luckily there was no one occupying the opposite lodge . When we went to cook on the first night my wife had to spend 40 mins cleaning the oven ,as oven was not clean at all ,we do have photos if disputed (on wife's phone ) ,we found an empty bubble bath bottle down the back of the bath , several cobwebs and a cake wrapper in the cupboard upstairs where the upstairs hoover is stored ,which would have been easy to see if you were to use the hoover . We left a day early as both double beds had mattresses that had seen better days and were not kind to my wife's back , we slept on the two single beds for 2 nights as the beds are higher and the mattresses are newer and had to bring the the blind from upstairs to provide some privacy at the front door . The lodge is set in quite a nice area but I think would be quite busy if all lodges were fully occupied ,but as it was quiet this was not an issue . The kitchen is well equipped with very good appliances ( un clean oven already mentioned ) , perhaps bigger tvs in all rooms . The hi light was the hot tub which was most welcome after a walk We have stayed with sykes before and enjoyed it very much but this time not so much .
