    “Gorgeous cottage in a great location.”

    Good size for 4 people and lovely sized garden. Heating was on for our arrival. Lots of lovely thoughts on arrival, such as milk, coffee, tea etc, plus a nice bottle of wine and welcome note. Lovely touch. Bedrooms large and spacious. Lovely large bathroom and excellent shower. Key was easy to retrieve. Plenty of parking. Great location for pub, walks and Scarborough. Sadly, the cottage had a strong smell of cigarette smoke upon arrival especially in the main bedroom. There was a cigarette stub ...

Sadly, the cottage had a strong smell of cigarette smoke upon arrival especially in the main bedroom. There was a cigarette stub on the porch outdoor windowsill.The kitchen could have been cleaner, dishes and cups/glasses in the cupboards were not clean and needed to be washed before we could use them. Such a shame as it meant we had to 'air out' the cottage throughout our stay. There was a fair few cobwebs etc which could have been removed before we arrived. Overall a lovely cottage, just some attention to detail would have made the stay better, especially for the price we paid.

Located within a remote area of Scarborough, this stone and pantile cottage is in the ideal location for exploring both the coast and the national parks of North Yorkshire.
