“We had a lovely stay.”

Apartment was perfect with only one comment re the comfort of the sofas. As the weather wasn’t great, we did spend some time in the apartment and they weren’t comfortable enough to lounge on. Otherwise, location, facilities, having an en-suite each, perfect.

“Lovely apartment.”

Excellent location, in a very pretty spot, in a beautiful area. Parking was quite straight forward once we worked it out. Great view, comfortable beds, very clean and modern in design. Would definitely recommend. Thanks. We had a great short break.

“Lovely apartment.”

2 little complaints though . As other guests have said , a small coffee table would be nice ,so you have somewhere to put your drinks instead of on the floor ! And secondly the bedding (sheets / mattress protector ) in the master bedroom do not fit the bed correctly and every night found them coming adrift .

“Excellent property, so easy to check in and check out.”

Ideal location for us with it close enough (10mins walk to town) but quiet and parking was ideal. Lovely little welcome hamper which was a nice touch. The sofas won't be everyone's comfort but was perfect for me and most spent their time sat at the window looking out at the view. The only small downside is how warm the rooms got particularly at night, there wasn't much that can be done for that I don't think except a fan but whether that would have helped or not. No issues with maintenance or facilities only thing was front door sticks a little and handle a bit loose so was weary of pulling it. Otherwise excellent property and we would stay again if we returned to Whitby

“Had a fantastic stay in your property.”

The bedrooms were perfect with great ensuite facilities. Likewise the kitchen is very well equipped with all mod cons. Personally we found the sofa's/TV area more than adequate for our stay and it was a nice touch to have found some milk, cake, crisps, tea and coffee left. You also receive a couple of parking permits for your stay, and it was easy parking your car outside the property with lots of spaces. My only observation would be to have a small table in the lounge, ideally between the sofa's so you can put your brew/glass of wine down. In summary would highly recommend.

“Great location and parking was a definite plus!”

The accommodation was spotless. The bedrooms were superb, the beds especially! Would have been good to have some cleaning products in the kitchen (sponges / dishcloths / dishwasher tablets) just to help keep things clean and tidy. Unfortunately I found the sofas extremely uncomfortable, they look great and can appreciate can’t have any too big because of access, but found it hard to relax on these. Overall, it was a very nice property and a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

“Loved this beautiful, well-equipped apartment with fab views and great bathrooms with hi-spec bluetooth mirrors.”

One downside (and an important one in a self-catering place that felt luxury in all other respects for a penthouse apartment for 4 people) is that the two leather sofas were small and not very comfortable, and the slippy leather isn't conducive for comfort ).

“We had a fantastic week at Foxton Penthouse.”

The apartment is superb, everything you need is there and the apartment is furnished to the highest standard. It was very easy to find, the location is amazing, very close to shops and restaurants and the view was gorgeous. Everything was clean and all bed linen and towels provided were clean and well looked after. If I was pushed for any negative it would be that the smaller bedroom needs a mirror on the wall for hair drying etc. Be prepared for hills and alot of steps everywhere! Highly recommed this apartment, communication excellent, no complaints at all from us. :)

Very well equipped. It had everything we needed. Was perfect for our annual Mayday weekend away. Really helpful to have a lift as there are a lot of stairs as you would expect from a Penthouse apartment! The welcome pack was really appreciated after a long drive.

“An absolute gem of a property.”

Any questions answered promptly by owners. We parked in the west cliff pay and display the first day then parked on Mulgrave Road for the remainder of our trip. The property was more spacious than the pictures give credit as we traveled with our 2 year old and took a travel cot which fit easily in either bedroom. It’s a beautiful modern property which we loved. Very kind of the owners to leave us some bread and milk and extras, lovely touch. Wonderful views from the lounge and bedroom very nice to sit and look out to sea with a cup of tea. Very close to both the beach and a stroll to all Whitby has to offer, we managed to walk everywhere with a dawdling toddler. Really enjoyed our first family holiday together

“Fabulous time at Foxton Penthouse.”

A beautiful contemporary apartment with stunning views. We were lucky enough to be the first paying guests and feel the owners have gone out of their way to ensure that everything is of a very high standard. It’s furnished and kitted out excellently, I hope all guests look after and respect this so that it can be enjoyed by visitors for years to come. The one thing we could not find was a hair drier but a quick call to the owner and one was delivered the very next day! We could have managed but the owner was obviously keen that we didn’t have to. Great customer service, thank you. The location is in a quiet area of Whitby, away from the main shopping and busy tourist areas but great for access to the beach. This means it’s more peaceful, great for an evening stroll along the promenade and a better night sleep. You can walk down to the harbour and over the bridge to visit the shops, restaurants and the Abbey ruins but be prepared for the uphill walk back from the harbour! We only used the car to visit the supermarket and left it in the car park at the pavilion for the rest of the stay. There was another car park, probably nearer but we liked that we could see the car from the apartment. Car park was never very busy but don’t forget to add the cost of car parking on to your holiday as this can mount up. (£9per day from 9am to 6pm, free overnight). Although on street car parking is free for 3 hours this was confusing. Cars parked were displaying a residents pass or a visitors scratch card. We saw one car with 2 parking tickets so the traffic wardens are in force. Please don’t let this put you off though, once we had unpacked we didn’t need to go back to the car again as we were able to pay the parking fees from the app. We had some amazing walks from the apartment. Were able to walk along the Cleveland Way in both directions. If you like costal walks I definitely recommend the walk to Robin Hoods Bay. It’s about 8miles, there is a shorter route back along the cinder track, but there’s also a bus back every half hour if your legs have had enough. All in all, Foxton Penthouse is a fabulous place to stay especially if you like comfort and luxury, and let’s face it, who doesn’t? Highly recommended.
