Controlled parking zones, permit zones, pay-and-display parking… You name it, Whitby has it.

Whitby is home to a wealth of attractions for you to explore during your visit, such as the grand Whitby Abbey, a popular tourist attraction for nearly 1500 years, the gothic ruins boast history and culture in a fantastic setting. Home to the Whitby Goth Weekend, the town offers an array of niche and eclectic shops reflecting the many inspirations which make the town the thriving cultural haven it is today. If you're feeling energetic, take a stroll to the famous 199 Steps and climb to the most spectacular views in the area and enjoy the breath-taking views from this elevated position. Spend your days at the beach and wandering the pretty harbour and enjoying a traditional fish and chip dinner. If you don't fancy cooking throughout your stay, the town hosts an abundance of pubs, restaurants and café with a wide variety of cuisines; why not try Royal Fisheries for your chip shop lunch, or for both indoor and outdoor dining, head out to chapel on the hill for a menu boasting fresh and local produce. Further afield, you can venture to the lively seaside town of Scarborough and relish in the sweeping shoreside, or if you have any animal lovers in the group, SEA LIFE Scarborough, a popular aquarium is situated right on the shoreside, and the Filey Bird and Animal Park rests just a short and scenic drive from here. For a memorable family holiday to North Yorkshire, choose Trillo House.
