My final point is the heating and hot water, so basically we had a 3 night stay, but ended up leaving on Sunday teatime due to it not working, so the only day it worked was Friday evening, it states there is a problem in the customer manual that is left. We could not have a shower and ...

I did actually ring Sykes cottages to put a complaint in, was told it was owner managed cottage and would get in touch with them and ask them to make contact with us, we'll guess what we never heard anything from anyone. This is VERY bad management by all parties

Firstly, please accept our sincere apologies that your stay did not meet expectations. We regret any inconvenience caused, and we are addressing the issues you raised. We will work with Sykes to promptly update the listing to reflect that there is no dishwasher, as you correctly noted.
Regarding the heating and hot water, we were not informed by Sykes of any issues during your stay. The boiler sometimes loses pressure if the cottage has been vacant for a while. It has been inspected by three separate plumbers, each of whom confirmed there is no fault. The boiler was also recently serviced to ensure optimal function. In the welcome pack, there are detailed instructions on how to increase the boiler pressure if needed, which may be helpful in the future. Im surprised you didn’t find this with you being so thorough in reading through the literature. It was in the welcome pack thats left on the table.
