The property

Charlotte House is a fantastic three-storey, historic townhouse's in Whitby, North Yorkshire.

Charlotte House, a pet-friendly holiday home in the North York Moors National Park, boasts a rich history and a period interior with historical features, including original fireplaces, making it ideal for a party or family of six, as well as their canine or feline companions.

Step into the entrance hall, which features gorgeous wooden flooring from a whiskey distillery in Scotland, where you can hang your coats and leave your shoes after your journey.

Look forward to conjuring up delicious meals in the well-equipped bijou kitchen, with a handy slimline dishwasher and slimline washing machine.

Ready to savour at the dining table for six.

After a hearty meal, snuggle up on the plush sofas and select a film on the TV for evenings entertainment, as your furry friends take up their favourite spot in front of the woodburning stove. If you're looking for somewhere to relax after a long day of sightseeing, you'll be pleased to find two well-appointed bedrooms on the first floor, each of which are served by a gleaming shower room.

Upstairs, you'll find a spacious master bedroom and a beautiful bathroom, perfect for those lazy morning soaks with your favourite book. In the morning, make a coffee with the Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine and relax outside at the charming bistro table for two located in the private patio as you plan the days excursions.

Get to know the area by visiting the Whitby and Captain Cook Memorial Museums, taking a tour of Whitby Abbey, and participating in the Dracula Experience, where you may follow in the footsteps of Bram Stoker's renowned vampire.

You can also climb to the 199 Steps for a breath-taking perspective of the town.

Spend a day at the beach where you can bathe, take to the waters on your kayak or canoe, or make your way over to the West Pier where you can fish or pay a visit to the Whitby Harbour West Lighthouse.

Head to the harbour, where you can set out for whale-watching excursions to catch a glimpse of some of the local marine life.

Visit Cawthorn Roman Camp and Ingleby Incline, as well as Mount Grace Priory and Gardens and Rievaulx Abbey, all of which are located within the North York Moors National Park. To get to Scarborough, hop aboard a train or follow The Cinder Track, which will take you to the 19th-century Rotunda Museum, Scarborough Castle, fishing excursions, Luna Park and Alpamare, and the spectacular Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
