We had a super few days.

Accommodation was as described in a quiet area with everything you could need, bedding, towels, toilet rolls, hand soap etc. Easy to find, we parked in the car park as suggested and walked - it really is a few minutes away. Lovely walk into the hustle and bustle of Whitby alongside the boats, around 10 minutes. There are stairs from the front door into the accommodation, the bathroom is on the first floor with the bedrooms upstairs. Beds comfy, a large spacious double and more than ample twin. No outside space but we managed with our dog who appreciated the dog treats, thank you.

Warm, comfortable, equipped with everything you'd need. Close to local amenities. Struggled with parking, but to be expected for whitby - the Marina Back car park is only 5 mins away

5-10 min walk from Whitby harbour but exceptionally quiet so makes for a wonderful nights sleep. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, easy to contact and all relevant info provided. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and look forward to our next Whitby trip

Well equipped and furnished 2 flights of steepish stairs might be difficult for disabled Don’t park to unload on builder’s property behind!

Very well thought out cottage,comfortable & in a very good position for Whitby & exploring the surrounding area.

We had no problem parking just a few metres away. Beds were comfy & unusually,really good pillows,so we slept well in spite of the heat. An unexpectedly generous welcome pack,which was very much appreciated.We would have liked a mixing bowl/pyrex bowl & a measuring jug,but that wasn’t that important. Overall we had a lovely holiday!

House has everything you need. Nice touches like milk and wine in fridge also treats for our dog. Beds comfy and shower powerful. Great location 10 mins to center. 2 mins to harbour and carpark if you take the shortcut across the train lines.

This is our second stay at Montiva .

It provides the perfect spot for a break in wonderful Whitby. Situated very close to the seafront and harbour but in a quiet and peaceful spot. The beds are comfortable , the apartment warm and the shower is powerful. We did not move the car all week but used public transport and the Steam Train to visit outlying gems.Parking is on street but close by. The owners are on hand and helpful should you need them . Planning our return visit to Montiva for asap.

A real gem.

Lovely maisonette decorated tastefully, very comfortable and homely feeling. A superb bolt hole after visiting all very local amenities. As it was Christmas it would have been easier ( cooking/baking) if there were some scales, bowls and a jug but this did not detract from our stay. Cupboards were full of the things you need in kitchen and some very thoughtful care packages for all of us. Dogs included. This is the perfect location for visiting Whitby and surrounding areas. We will definately return.

We had a short 2 night stay at Whitby, staying in the Monteva holiday cottage.

The house was perfect, clean and tidy and well stocked. The location was great and with only a 5-10 min walk into town it was a great place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

We had an amazing stay at Monteva, the apartment was immaculate and in a spectacular location a stone’s throw away from the centre of Whitby.

Everything had been thought of in the apartment, it is clear that the owner really values their guests experiences. We would definitely return! Thank you!

Monteva is an absolute gem for a relaxing holiday.

The location was a stones throw from the centre of Whitby but so quiet and peaceful with the odd steam train chugging past the end of the street. The accommodation was modern and bright inside with comfortable beds , a hot powerful shower and everything you would need from a welcoming base to explore wonderful Whitby and beyond. There were no problems with free roadside parking nearby.The owner was fabulously helpful and provided some lovely extras .As regular visitors to the Yorkshire Coast we will certainly stay here again and we will be checking the diary for our soonest return.

Home from home with all the necessary amenities. Thank you for the welcome pack of biscuits and wine. We had a great stay, Whitby is our favourite place and we are looking forward to staying again in the future.

Fabulous cottage for a small family with a dog - throws for furniture and waste bags provided.

Excellent location and no trouble parking outside. Very comfortable beds and sofas. Lovely extra touches such as milk and Prosecco in the fridge plus biscuits, cereals, tea and coffee. Nicely decorated. Two televisions and plenty of board games. Only one small negative was that the shower was sometimes a bit tricky to get the right temperature and both the taps in the kitchen seemed to switch between hot and cold but not a big deal. Having a dishwasher was a bonus. Great value for money and would definitely return.

Lovely home from home with all mod cons! Nice super comfy bed,good fast internet,smart TV,decent powerful shower…in fact just like being at home! We always looked forward to returning here after our long days fossil hunting! No problems with parking always managed to get a space right outside. We will definitely be coming back! Absolutely loved our stay at Monteva!

Perfect location to walk into the busier parts of Whitby. Excellent for young children with 2 lovely parks nearby in walking distance. Monteva had all we needed for a comfy, relaxed stay away from home, plus some wonderful added extras that were gratefully received! My children both said the house was 'gorgeous' and said 'can we please come back?!' I think that says everything. We'll be back!

Fab place to stay lots of amenities air fryer only thing missing

We had a brilliant time, the cottage is just perfect and is in a great location to accessing everything Whitby has to offer.

The little welcome pack was a lovely touch, even left fresh milk and a bottle of fizz for us arriving along with some doggy treats. The house is modern and well decorated, plus the beds are so comfy, all in all the perfect getaway to Whitby, we will definitely return.

The property decorated to a high standard and is very comfortable and homely.

The only reason I’ve not rated fully in facilities and maintenance was just due to a loss of hot water in the shower. I rest assured if I’d of reported this it would have been resolved but at the time we just used the bath as hot water was coming through this. We had great communication from the owner, prior to arrival and during our stay when had a query we got a prompt response. The beds in the house are the comfiest I’ve stayed in. It is quiet around the location and after a busy day in Whitby with small children, we could rest and relax in this lovely property. Facilities included added extras such as a dishwasher and coffee machine, travel cot, high chair. We absolutely had everything to enjoy our stay. Compared to other properties we looked to book for our dates, it was very reasonably priced and high quality. If returning to Whitby would look to book this again.

What a delight, clean, comfortable immaculately maintained.

The quality of fixtures and fittings far exceeding expectation. Without a doubt would return in the future. We asked our grandchildren too rate it against all the other properties we have stayed, "The Best" was the answer. Thank you for giving us the privilege of staying at your beautiful holiday home...... PS It says in the description that the stairs may be an issue, my wife struggles with stairs but found no problem negotiating them safely.

The cottage was lovely.

Everything we needed was there including free wifi which was great for my teenager and dog treats for my black lab. Beds were comfy. Short walk into town for sightseeing lunch etc. Weather was fab too. Would definitely stay here again.

The cottage is lovely and well maintained cleanliness wise.

There was a bit of a damp smell throughout the property but to be expected for the age and location. Would have been amazing to have a bit of seating area outside with the weather been so lovely but we were so close to the town and area that we were out during the day. The extra little touches of a welcome drink and the coffee machine were incredible. Thank you for such a love stay.

Our first visit to the seaside town of Whitby was made perfect by staying at the lovely Monteva apartment.

A real home from home we always looked forward to returning here after our long days out walking,touring or fossil hunting!. The apartment was super clean,modern yet quirky with a really comfortable bed.All mod cons including dishwasher, washing machine,coffee machine with pods provided and lots of nice thoughtful little touches we discovered during our stay such as a selection of games to keep the kids entertained under the footstool!. Wifi was good and reliable and parking never an issue (we arrived over the famous Goth/steampunk weekend) with plenty of spaces available whenever we returned after trip out with the car. A quick 5 minute walk and you were in town with a nice Co-op to stock up with essentials for the days outings,plenty of pubs/restaurants,fish and chip shops etc,Whitby is a fascinating place to wander around with some stunning walks along the coastal paths and walkways heading out of town. We found plenty of fossils on the foreshore right side of the pier heading towards the abbey with some lovely Ammonites, sea glass and a small piece of Whitby Jet (confirmed). All in all a wonderful stay in a lovely apartment and we cant wait to return again and bring the grand kids next time for some fossil hunting adventures! Monteva is in a great location to enjoy a costal break and make the most of all that Whitby has to offer.

It’s just a short walk to all the main attractions and makes this the perfect retreat for your trip and allows you have a base to explore this stunning part of the country. The effort that goes in from Natalia to making your time memorable and stress free certainly didn’t go unnoticed and we can’t thank our hosts enough for this and we will definitely be booking again to make this a regular trip away. It’s the little touches and details that make all the difference and separates this place from the rest. The accommodation is modern, spacious with great comfy beds and becomes a home from home. We found the parking next to the house was always available which was a great bonus in peak school holiday time as Whitby was as busy as I’ve seen. What more can you ask for. Every box is ticked and we can’t wait to come back.

We had a lovely long weekend, two humans and a dog!

The place is beautifully decorated and has lots of lovely mod cons. What I particularly appreciated was how Natalia, the property owner went over and above to make us feel comfortable. It’s a long drive from London and when we arrived I was delighted to find milk in the fridge, there was a bottle of bubbly and chocolates as we were her first holiday residents. The little caring touches like the dog treats and doggy bags were so thoughtful. The dishwasher was very welcome as it reduced friction. The hose is a short walk from Whitby town centre and a beautiful Sandy beach. We were lucky with the weather and had crispy cool but sunny days. There are lots of nice shops. We arrived on a Steam Punk weekend with lots of people dressing up and promonading around town. This may have something to do with Bram Stoler, the creator of Dracula being from this region. Lots of fish and chip shops so it was great to be able to cook at the house with nice ceramic pots and pans. It helped me manage my weight as there is a lot of yummy food to over indulge on by the seaside! I’d never stayed in a house quite like this one where the main entrance is not on the street. The house is on quite a steep hill with limited free parking. So if you’re good with hill starts this is a great place to stay. Once again, thank you Natalia for all the caring comforts of home
