“I was disappointed to be so far out from the town centre close to the boat yard which were busy on a build and banging from 8:00-18:00 you should make clear that this is close by and likely to generate some noise.”

Could not drop off where suggested due to closure for bike race… should have been notified of alternative drop off point. Had to park very far away from cottage and struggled to find it. Then had long trek back and forth with belongings. I would not recommend to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing few days away.

Many thanks for your feedback, we’re sorry that your stay at Pipit was not as expected. We feel that the property is quite ideally located in the town centre being a 10-minute walk to the old town hall and even less to the Whitby swing bridge, allowing for easy access to the other side of the River Esk. The location is also marked on a map within the listing and the exact address is provided at the time of the booking. With regards to the boat yard, which is historical to Whitby, the activity time can be varied depending on when there is a boat build in progress and given the location of the yard being quite central any noise from it can be heard from most of the town centre. Unfortunately, we are unable to predict when this will be an issue, along with road closures from the many events that Whitby hosts. We hope that you were satisfied with the property itself and enjoyed your stay. Sarah Property Owner
