    Very nice property, lovely decor and furnishings Really could of done with a washing machine, the bathroom was situated right outside the kitchen table, which could feel a bit awkward when using the toilet, however I would say it’s one of the best properties we have ever stayed in Whitby and would definitely book again

An attractive four-storey detached cottage, dating back to the early 1800’s nestled in the heart of historic Whitby.

This beautifully modernised property retains the original character of the building and benefits from a private terrace and rear garden and views over the harbour. Sitting at the heart of historic Whitby, just paces away from the vibrant 'Old Town' and scenic waterfront rests Sunshine Cottage.

A four-storey detached cottage in a prime position for exploring both the coast and countryside of North Yorkshire.

This property is a fantastic choice for friends, families or couples seeking the perfect base for exploring Whitby and surrounding areas. Admire the beautiful harbour views upon arrival, before venturing inside to find the open-plan living space where you will find a modern well equipped kitchen that has everything you will need including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and a dishwasher. The kitchen is connected to the living room which boasts harbour views and a comfortable seating area, TV and fireplace. The property has 3 bedrooms split over 3 floors.

On the lower-ground-floor is a modern king-size bed with direct access to the private terraced garden.

On the first floor is a double bed offering superb harbour views.

Then the charming attic bedroom on the top floor, has 2 single beds fantastic original features including exposed beams and lovely views of Whitby Abbey and the harbour. Take a short stroll into the centre of the town of Whitby; well-known for its fantastic fish and chips and award-winning restaurants and bars.

There’s a variety of shops through the cobbled streets and along the waterfront as you head towards the beach, a great place for people-watching and soaking in the sun.

For the more adventurous there are some great spots with the bay being perfect for canoeists, paddle boarders and surfers, or for a more relaxed beach day be sure to visit the beautiful Robin Hood's Bay just a scenic drive away. There's plenty of history to uncover in the town, whether you choose to explore it by climbing the famous 199 Steps to Whitby Abbey, said to have inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the Dracula Experience being the perfect way to learn more about this if you're feeling brave, or wander around the Captain Cook Museum or the Whitby Museum, there's plenty here to be discovered at any time of the year. For the avid explorer, there's no better place than the North York Moors National Park, boasting a plethora of scenic spots to uncover in its moorland, woodlands, rivers, and rich geology, it makes a lovely place to spot wildlife, take a picnic and experience nature like no other, with plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding, wildlife watching, golf, water sports and so much more!
