The property

A fabulous semi-detached cottage, centrally located, yet tucked away in a quiet corner, in the popular seaside town of Whitby, Yorkshire.

The Store Rooms was converted from a former auction house and has been immaculately restored, now providing a wonderful hideaway for couples and friends wishing to enjoy the many attractions this charming town has to offer.

Beautifully furnished and decorated throughout, the cottage provides upside down accommodation, with a pretty double bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs is a spacious open plan living area with a sofa bed, with a pitched roof, quirky floor level windows and Velux windows giving a very light and airy feel to the room.

There is also a well-equipped kitchen with a fold-down dining table and sumptuous seating in which to sink into after a busy day exploring.

A two-minute walk brings you into the hub of this thriving historic town, with restaurants, pubs and independent shops all on the doorstep.

Wander around the quaint narrow streets, enjoy coffee and cakes in one of the many tea rooms, or enjoy a cocktail in a harbourside bar.

An absolute must are the renowned Whitby fish and chips, and a climb up the 199 steps is well-worth the effort for the panoramic views along the coastline.

The surrounding countryside of the North York Moors National Park is stunning and there are many drives along this dramatic stretch of heritage coastline.

A wonderful romantic cottage for a varied and interesting holiday.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £125.
