The property

West Cliff House is situated on the coast of the seaside town of Whitby, in North Yorkshire, and is a stunning basement apartment for families and friends looking to share a special occasion together or simply tour a different part of the country.

The house has a private front access, and shared use of a spacious rear courtyard.

The main house sleeps seven people in four bedrooms, with a sea view from the main bedroom on the top floor.

It has an open-plan living area and a quality finish, making you feel right at home.

The house is located a few hundred yards from beautiful views of the sea and Whitby Abbey, and only a few minutes from the fabulous beach, where families can enjoy a relaxing day sunbathing, playing a variety of beach games and even learning to surf!

Within 5 minutes are: cinema, ice cream parlour, crazy golf, amusement arcades, paddling pool, surf board hire & lessons, indoor swimming pool & sports facilities.

The Abbey itself is within driving distance, or a 15 minute walk, and is perched on a clifftop overlooking the town, and was said to be the home of the first known poet, featuring a wealth of culture and history inside.

If it's history you're looking for then the Captain Cook Memorial Museum is for you, showcasing displays on Cook's life and voyages to the South Pacific, dating back to the 18th century.

Try your hand at the 199 steps and see how far you can get before tiring - if you make it to the top, you will discover sweeping views across the harbour and the town itself, something you don't want to miss!
